I’ve had this come up with so many Access Bars clients that I decided to share it with you. What if you are creating drama and struggle in your life because someone, maybe your parents, told you that you had to work hard and struggle to make money? Or maybe you heard derogatory comments about people experiencing a lot of success that appeared to come easily to them and decided you were going to make sure your success was obviously difficult so that people wouldn’t say bad things about you. Or maybe it’s so others will think you are really powerful (or spiritual) for having overcome so much. Or maybe it’s so you will have something to talk about, interesting stories to tell that help you feel connected to others. Or maybe it’s because you enjoy really feeling the contrast between things going really badly and things going really well.
My point is that you always have a choice. If you choose drama and struggle, that’s perfectly fine. If you choose a life that is blissful and peaceful, that’s perfectly fine too. Sometimes we are unaware that we do have choice, and once some possible reasons for what we have been choosing is pointed out then it expands what we believe is possible and we may decide to choose differently.
What are you choosing? Always know you can choose again. I invite you to be more conscious in what you choose.
